Mike Ard joined the Victor Emanuel Nature Tours team in December 2013 and serves as Corporate Controller. He brings nearly two decades of experience in corporate finance and accounting, having held leadership positions as both CFO and Controller, as well as working as a management consultant for mid-sized businesses.

Throughout his career, Mike has specialized in financial management, accounting operations, and process improvement. His work has focused on strengthening business infrastructure and creating the economic foundation for organizational growth. At VENT, he applies that expertise to ensure sound financial practices and operational efficiency, supporting the company’s long-term sustainability and mission of connecting people with nature through travel.

Mike holds a Master of Business Administration from St. Edward’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin. Away from the office, he enjoys cycling, running, and exploring Austin with his wife, Lisa, and their two sons, Austin and Adam.
